Tim Burton’s “Edward Scissorhands”, for anyone who lives under a rock, tells the story of a curious android-like guy, played by Johnny Depp, who deals with his curious predicament of having scissor-like hands (due to his inventor father being unable to craft human like hands for Edward before his death). Depp’s Edward is soon taken in by a suburban family and must figure out where he fits in, all while falling for the family’s daughter, played by Winona Ryder.

Andrew Cremeans (who goes by Voodrew on Imgur) had grown up in the same Tampa neighborhood where “Edward Scissorhands” was filmed. In 1990, the same year the film was released, his mother even worked with the production’s on-set doctor. In honor of the film’s 25th anniversary, Cremeans returned to his old stomping around with his daughter in tow. Attempting to match up houses and points of interest in his old neighborhood with stills from the film, it’s a unique look at the pastel-filled neighborhood that helped make “Edward Scissorhands” so iconic. Cremeans had posted the pictures on Imgur and they quickly catapulted right to the front page.

Website Mashable recently got in touch with Andrew Cremeans. Cremeans claimed he wondered whether or not the owners of the homes featured in the film even knew their neighborhood was the backdrop to Edward Scissorhands. The results of his photoshoot are below.
